The Scriptures say that "without faith it is impossible to please God." (Hebrews 11:6). Corresponding to that, we are told that "faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ." (Romans 10:17). Therefore, we take very seriously the nurturing and maturing of all ages in regard to knowing the word of God.
